6/222 Yew Tree House

II

House: dated 1711 with C20 alterations and additions to rear. Coursed
squared buff sandstone rubble. Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge
and 2 gable plastered chimneys. 1½-storey, symmetrical 3-bay south
front. Projecting rubble band at the 1st floor. End bays have C20
3-light casements with applied lead glazing below. Above are 4-light
tall chamfered stone-mullioned windows in gabled half dormers.
Central door under rough stone lintel has date plaque reading THD 1711
above. C20 addition in keeping to rear.
