Circa 1820/30. Large detached house, the front facing Castle Street but with the entrance on Nelson Place. Three storeys cement rendered, coupled pilasters with incised Greek key panels flanking the front, the inner ones breaking forward slightly, supporting a cornice above the first floor. Pilasters above this with cornice and parapet. On the ground floor is a tetrastyle Greek Doric portico raised on three steps with iron balustrade above entablature. Three windows, recessed, sash, no glazing bars block sills. The first floor cornice is returned along Nelson Place entrance front which has a central Greek Doric porch.
"Kelston" or "Nelson Mansions" forms a group with Nos 22 to 24 (consec) Castle Street.
