With No 11 Vernon Square. Originally a large house of 1851 (deeds). Now
semi detached the rear half as No 45 Melville Street. Tall three storeys
on plinth, rough cast. Low pitch hipped slate roof overhanging eaves,
frieze below. Retains original fenestration recessed sash, glazing bars,
block sills. Fine Anthemion balcony on brackets to first floor window.
To West, originally garden front, three windows. On the left hand a two
storeyed wing projects with a bowed end, articulated by giant pilasters
with frieze cornice and parapet, flat roof.
