House. L-shaped building. The oldest portion is the north west wing which has an
C18 exterior but is probably older inside. Hythe sandstone rubble. Hipped tiled roof.
Casement windows. The main portion or south east wing is late C18. Stuccoed.
Stringcourse. Hipped slate roof. Windows with wooden shutters, glazing bars
intact with Gothic glazing. Thomas Otway, dramatist, (1652-1685) was born in the
earlier house on this site.
