Public road bridge over Leeds-Liverpool Canal. Probably
c.1771. Resident engineer John Longbotham. For the
Leeds-Liverpool Canal Company. Coursed squared sandstone.
Semi-elliptical arch with plain voussoirs and keystone; plain
band; parapet repaired with concrete; plain pilaster
terminals. Oval number plates "35" on both sides. Part of one
of the earliest trunk canals in the country.
