Terrace of 4 town houses, now flats. c.1840, altered.
White-painted stucco on brick, hipped slate roof. Double-depth
plan, each house double-fronted, with 2 back extensions. Three
storeys and cellars, 3+3+3+3 bays, mostly symmetrical, with
sill-bands and moulded wood eaves. Each house has slightly
projected outer bays and a central recessed porch with Roman
Doric columns distyle in antis, entablature with paterae on
the frieze, and a panelled inner door with pilastered surround
and side lights under a rectangular overlight. At ground floor
the 2 houses to the left both have canted bay windows flanking
the entrance, the 3rd has a similar bay window to the right
and a 15-pane sash to the left with moulded architrave, and
the 4th has two similar 15-pane sashes. All have 12-pane
sashes at 1st floor and low 6-pane sashes at 2nd floor, all
these with moulded architraves. Roof now lacking chimneys. The
4-bay return walls have windows with similar moulded
architraves, those in the outer bays all blind. Rear: two
2-storey lean-to back extensions; altered windows. Interior
not inspected.
