Pair of town houses, now flats. c.1840, altered. White-painted
stucco on brick, slate roof. Double-depth halls-adjoining
plan, each house single-fronted but with a set-back side wing,
and back-extension. Two storeys, 2+2 windows arranged 1:2:1,
plus lower 1-window side wings; symmetrical; with a plinth,
pilasters to slightly-raised outer bays, and prominent wooden
eaves; channelled rustication to ground floor; coupled
recessed porches with pilastered surrounds including frieze
with wreaths, cornice and blocking course, and panelled inner
doors with overlights; tripartite windows at ground floor of
the outer bays, these and the other windows of the main range
all with moulded architraves, and all now furnished with
top-hung casements with glazing bars, imitating sashes. Gable
chimneys. Skylights inserted in roof. Low side wings with one
window to each floor.
