House. C17. Brick and timber framed with brick nogging. Thatched roof, half
hipped to left with end stack to right and stack on ridge off-centre to
left. 2 storeys. 2 framed bays in centre with angle braces. 3 ground and
2 first floor windows; all casements. Door between first and second windows
from right. C20 2 storey brick addition to left and right; that to right
with first floor thatched canted bay window. Traditionally associated with
Cromwell's encampment before the Battle of Newbury.
