6/34 Wenfork Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Dated 1616 with later additions and alterations. Roughcast slate-stone;
slate roof. 3-unit plan to main range with short gabled cross-wing projecting to
left (upper) end. 2 storeys. Late C19/early C20 casements, 3 to first floor of
main range, left directly below eaves and one on each side of lean-to porch to
left of centre, with glazed outer door and boarded inner door. Gable has casement
on each floor with dripstone above and datestone "1616" to apex. Rendered integral
end stack to right of main range and prominent external lateral stack with top
rebuilt in C19 red brick to rear on left, abutted by partially cob catslide outshut.
Interior: Much altered C20. Infilled inglenook fireplace to external lateral stack
and ceiling beams concealed. Some panelled doors. Roof space has C17 chamfered
principal rafters surviving beneath raising of eaves, including to cross-wing.
