Threshing barn and attached ranges of byres, stables and loose
boxes, with lofts, and cart and implement sheds. Early C19,
with later C19 alteration and extension. Coursed squared stone
on brick plinth, with extension of red brick in English
garden-wall bond; pantile roofs, rebuilt in places, hipped to
barn with wrought-iron corner brackets. Barn to north: 2
storeys 6 bays. Centre left bay has full-height board double
doors beneath segmental arch of brick; small door, now
blocked, in centre right bay. Loft openings are square
pitching windows, some shuttered, with painted timber lintels.
Numerous ventilation slits on 3 levels. Brick eaves course.
Rear, to foldyard: full-height rebated doorway with massive
timber lintel to right; to left, stable door with slatted
overlight. Left and right returns: board lifting doors to
loft. West range: one-and-half storeys 9 bays, partly obscured
by later building. Altered openings on ground floor; shuttered
pitching windows to loft. East range: 1 storey 9 bays. North
end consists of 3-bay cart shed with stone cylindrical piers;
remainder originally implement sheds with cast-iron column
piers. Southern bay altered to pigsty, with feeding troughs,
now blocked.
