Methodist Chapel, now Sikh Centre. Inscription below
pediment; "WESLEYAN 1904 CHURCH". Red brick with yellow
terracotta dressings, slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays,
central bays slightly higher with pediment. Frieze and
cornice over ground floor, top frieze and cornice with urns
at ends; flat pilasters. Ground floor has segmental headed
windows with panelled aprons and architraves. 1st floor
round-headed window with impost bands, archivolts and
keys, those to central bays larger, with arcaded balcony;
stained glass in Art Nouveau style. Central bays have
round-headed entrances with archivolts, richly decorated
pilasters and spandrels; Paired 6-panel doors. Pediment
has richly moulded tympanum with foliage and cartouche, top
finial.
