House, part of hospital when surveyed. c.1830's. Brick with stone
dressings, slate roof. Three storeys with basement, five bays,
central bay breaks forward. Basement, lintel band, sill
bands and top frieze, cornice and blocking course. Windows
have architraves, those to ground floors are panelled, ears
with anthemions; those to first floor have gabled tops with
cresting. Windows are sashed with glazing bars. Entrance
has glazed doorcase and Ionic porch with paired columns.
Window above has segmental head and consoled Greek hood
(damaged, 1984). Two iron first-floor balconies and iron area
railings with anthemion heads. Extensions to left and right
of no special interest.
