Town house. 1840s, enlarged and altered in later C19. Red
brick in Flemish bond, with sandstone dressings and slate
roof. Double-depth single-fronted plan, with back extension.
Two storeys over cellar, with large added attic storey, a
2-window facade with 1st-floor sill-band, plain frieze and
moulded cornice, attic above this. The doorway, to the left,
has a panelled pilaster architrave, cornice on consoles, and
blocking course, door with round-headed panels, and plain
overlight. The window to the right has an architrave which
matches that of the doorway, and a raised sill with
sill-blocks, and the 2 windows at 1st floor have similar jambs
and sill-blocks beneath the band, and all are sashed without
glazing bars. The attic storey, which is rendered and painted
white, with raised plaster panels has 2 similar sashed
breaking the eaves with dormer pediments. Gable chimneys. Rear
and INTERIOR not inspected.
