Western Lodge to Alexandra Park

II

Western lodge to Alexandra Park. 1863. Rusticated coursed and
squared rubble with rusticated ashlar dressings and Welsh
slate roof. Neo-classical style. Single storey with Italianate
tower over entrance to right, with hipped leaded roof, and
paired round-arched windows beneath modillion eaves. Angle
quoins. Door with overlight in plain architrave to ground
floor. Canted bay window with leaded roof and semi-circular
dormer window over to left. Hipped roof wing to rear of tower,
with sash window with entablatures and dormer in the roof.
Elevation to Queen's Road has two 2-pane sash windows with
entablatures carried on consoles, and semi-circular dormer
windows over. Pilasters in centre and at angles. Modillion
eaves cornice.
