Former stables and carriage houses to Nos. 52-57 Hamilton
Square (q.v.). c1825. By James Gillespie Graham. Red brick in
English garden wall bond with stone eaves band and Welsh slate
roof. 2 storeys. Remains of 8 original carriage doorways
survive with some stone hinge pads in situ, now considerably
altered by C20 insertions and widening; one original double
door with strap hinges. 2 first floor openings. Some original
openings to rear including a 6-pane sash window and a doorway
with segmental arch. Included for group value with Nos.52-57
Hamilton Square (ref 14/74, grade I), which houses these
stables served.
