1 and 2 Gate Cottages

G.V. II

Two attached cottages, continuous with Fernley. c.1810. Ashlar stone walls
coursing carries on from the above. Thatch roof with gable end at right hand.
Left hand end of roof abuts below the gable coping. 2 brick stacks, left of
centre, at right hand gable. 2 storeys. 2 windows, 3 light C20 wooden case-
ments with wooden cills. 2 front doors, at left, of each cottage, both wood
C20 with 2 glass panels. Simple segmental canopies over. Outshut at rear,
rubble-stone with Roman tile pentice over.
