House, formerly a farmhouse sited at Little Barford, Bedfordshire. Late C15
or early C16, altered in late C16, converted to cottages in C19. Dismantled
and rebuilt at Glatton c1980 by Michael West. Timber-frame, reconstructed to
its original Wealden form with plastered infill, brick plinth. Thatched roof
with ridge stack to right of centre. Two storeys and attic with restored open
hall. Boarded door with two-centred arched head to doorway. Three ground
floor, and three first floor casement windows with wooden mullions. Interior
not seen. The Wealden farmhouse was altered in the late C16 to a continuous
jettied house by the insertion of a floor and a first floor wall to the hall.
These features were not reconstructed.
