attached barn
GV II
Cottage and attached barn, formerly divided into three cottages. Early C17
with C18 and C19 alterations and additions. Timber-framed with reversed
assembly exposed with plaster infill and rendered; weatherboarded barn. Half
hipped thatched roofs. Square planned ridge stack to left hand, small ridge
stack and gable end stack to right hand. One storey and attic, three unit
plan to main range with rear wing and barn forming an L-plan. Two entrances,
one six-panelled door and two, sixteen-paned hung sash windows to left hand
and one panelled door to right hand with a small hung sash bay window and
twelve-paned six-light window. Two eyebrow dormer windows. Interior:
Exposed floor frames; open hearths to central room and former kitchen. Room
to west with C18 panelling and chimney piece.
