House, in 3 distinct parts, part incorporating a date stone of 1684. 1½
storeys throughout, a long low building with thatch roof. Central section
is red brick with some burnt headers, perhaps mid C18. Central door in
modern porch which incorporates date stone with initials IH. To either side
of the door, a 2-light casement window and 2 swept dormers above, with some
slight timber work, and casement windows. The left hand section is stone,
and single storied, formerly the stable it now contains a central door and
a casement window to either side of it. Right hand section contains an
early C20 canted bay window and a pair of French windows. Single dormer
above. Paired old brick stacks behind doorway, and new gable end stacks.
Former bakehouse is recessed to the right, a single story unit. Wood cased
pump against lower gable wall of house.
