House. Possibly C17 with C19 additions and facade rebuilt early C20. Lime-
stone rubble with stone slate roof. Two storeys with attic, three bays.
Windows are C20, with ovolo-moulded mullions. Ground floor windows are of
one light with transom and three lights with transom. First floor windows
are of two, three and two lights. Above the middle window is a gable. Two
attic dormers. Door, in right-hand bay, has ovolo-moulded timber surround
within moulded stone surround with elliptical head. End chimneys, with third
chimney towards centre of ridge. A picture postcard in the Francis Frith
Collection dated 1899 shows the house with an ashlar lean-to addition at
the front with C19 windows and a gabled wing projecting forwards at the right.
