House. C17 or earlier, extended and altered in C20. "1600" in
plasterwork on modern porch. Tall two and a half storeys with
hipped thatched roof and 2 storeys gabled, thatched porch on E
front. Modern windows. 3 unit plan with central chimney one
third from S end and entrance one third from N end. N, service
end extended in plastered brick with two and a half storeys and E
porch added. Plinth marks extent of older house. Smaller
central chimney on line of N side of porch probably marks N end
of original house. 2 semicircular brick steps and battened oak
door to porch. Possibly the original Butlers Hall. Part of group
with houses to E in small hamlet. Included for group value.
