House. Early C18 with later alteration and extension. Cruck-framed,
encased in coursed rubble limestone, spray-rendered, with pantile roof and
brick stacks. 2-cell, gable-entry plan, extended later into former
outbuildings at rear. 2 storeys, 2 windows. Entrance in gable wall to
right. 2-light, 12-pane horizontal-sliding sashes with timber lintels.
Coped gables and kneelers. End stacks. Right gable end has renewed board
door. Rear single-storey outshut with catslide roof. Interior: inglenook
fireplace with hearthbeam and heck; stone chimney-piece with corbelled
segmental lintel; Wrelton range dated 1869 in working order, flanked by salt
box to left and spice cupboard with panelled door to right. Cross beam with
some studding in place. Chamfer-stopped spine beam and chamfered joists.
On first floor, a single full cruck truss is visible to the saddle apex.
