Farmhouse. Circa 1700, extended mid-C19 with later alterations. Red
brick on stone chamfered plinth with rusticated angle quoins; plain
tile roof with coped verges on kneelers. H-plan with additional gable
to rear, all 3 gables lengthened to rear in C19. 2 storeys with attics
to gables; wooden modillion eaves cornice carried up around small gable
to centre, floor bands. 1:1:1 windows, mid-C19 casements, those to
gables with plain wedge lintels and that to centre on first floor with
round-arched gauged head. Contemporary narrow windows flanking central
entrance have gauged heads; late C19 half-glazed door also with gauged
head. Blocked square-headed windows to gables of attics. Prominent
rectangular red brick ridge stacks with recessed panels to gables.
Extended gables re-use original angle quoins and coped verges. Interior:
early C18 oak staircase with heavy turned balusters and post supporting
ceiling in hall. Rear gable has moulded wooden modillion window with
leaded lights and C18 glass left in situ in attic when gable was extended
in C19.
