Rectory, now 2 houses. C17 nucleus, enlarged and altered mid C18 and early C19,
with C20 alterations. Limestone rubble with stone dressings, 3 bays to front
left in stucco, some ashlar, slate roofs. L-plan. West front to left of
2 storeys and 3 windows, ground floor has 2 large sashes with margin glazing,
raised surround and cill, double panelled doors with overlight to right, wrought
iron panelled piers supporting canopy verandah, first floor has 3 sashes, cornice,
parapet and raised quoins; to right, gable end of wing has ground and first floor
sash in raised surround with hood mould, 2-light casement in gable with dripstone,
ball finial. Right return of 2½ storeys and 5 windows, ground floor has 3 sashes
with hood mould, 2-light casement with ovolo mullion and hood mould, 6-panelled
door with fanlight with radial leadwork, pilasters to sides with capitals as
imposts for round head, triple keystone; first floor has 2 sashes with hood mould
to left, three 2-light casements with hobdmould to right, parapet and coping,
2 C19 gabled dormers with ball finials; attached 1½ storey wing to right has
former door with C20 window inserted, large oven projecting and 2 buttresses.
Left return in stucco, rear wing set back of 2 storeys and 2 windows, all sashes,
and lower 2-storey wing attached to left, with three 8-pane sashes at ground floor
and first floor two 8-pane sashes and paired central 8-pane sashes. Rear has varied
windows including three 8-pane sashes at first floor right and circular window in
gable, single storey former scullery attached to left. Interior: not inspected.
