(The 2 houses form a block of flats)
Early C19 pair of large houses, each 4 storeys and basement, 4 windows. Multicoloured
stock brick. Stucco frieze, cornice and blocking course at 3rd floor and roof
levels. Roof concealed. Bands at 1st and 2nd floor cills. Arcaded 4-bay ground
floor centre section projects slightly and has recess on axis and stuccoed spring
string. Arched recesses rest on stuccoed basement plinth. Gauged Wick arches
to renewed sash windows with glazing bars, round in 4 ground floor centre bays,
flat elsewhere. Prostyle-Doric porches in penultimate bays. Left entrance
now altered to balcony with cast iron railings and French window. 5 steps to
right entrance with renewed 6-panel door. Cornice heads and semicircular fanlights
at both sides.

Nos 9 to 16 (consec) form a group.
