8/55 Conservatory attached to south
- west corner of ruin of Worden
Hall
GV II
Conservatory, probably mid C19, now greenhouse. Stone plinth, wooden
frame, glazed walls and roof. Symmetrical, in 3 sections, the centre
higher with a ridge roof from the front of which projects the hipped
roof of a canted bay: this is supported by wooden posts (topped by
acanthus-leaf cornice brackets) dividing the front into 4, (and the
sides into 2) slender round-headed windows, with margin lights, rising
from low wooden panels; those in the centre of the front are double
doors. Apex of bay and both gables have decorative iron finials. The
sections either side of the centre are lower, and of simple monopitch
construction.
