Farmhouse, probably early C18, now house. Red brick (parts of walls said
to be of clay) all now rendered; thatched roof now covered by fibre thatch.
Rectangular 2-unit plan, chimney stack in right gable, doorway in line
with it. Two storeys; boarded door with shell-shaped fibre-thatch canopy
at right end; large inserted bay window next to it, one small and one
larger square casement window to the left of it, both with glazing bars;
1st floor has 2 small square casements under the eaves; right gable wall
has 2 small windows at 1st floor; rear wall has 3 small windows. Interior:
inglenook with heck and large bressumer, 2 chamfered bridging beams;
kitchen at lower end has one lateral beam; 1st floor chamber open to roof
timbers: 2 side purlins and common rafters. Barn adjoining at left end
not included in the item.
