Formerly pair of cottages, now converted to single occupation. Probably late C18,
with C20 internal alterations. Stone rubble with rendered cob upper storey. Half-
hipped thatch roof with brick stacks at each end. Corrugated asbestos roofs to
lean-tos at each end.
Former mirror plan pair of single room cottages, each room divided at the rear to
form separate scullery/pantry. Original position of staircases unclear but
probably opposite each entrance doorway. In C20, all internal partitions were
removed creating single large ground floor room, and new staircase inserted running
up rear wall. Leantos at each end with external access.
2 storeys. 2-window range. Symmetrical. The upper storey openings retain their
original 2-light casements, with 8 small leaded square panes per light. 2 late C19
3-light casements, 3 panes per light to ground floor. Pair of central doorways, the
right-hand doorway blocked and window inserted. C20 lean-to glass and timber porch.
2-light casement to rear upper storey, one of the lights retaining its leaded cames
and glass.
Interior. Interior altered in C20 but bread ovens survive to each fireplace, that
to right with double-handled cloam oven door, that to left with cast iron door.
