Terraced houses. 1767-79. Brick of various colours set in
Flemish bond, stucco, roofs of Welsh and artificial slate.
Four storeys over basement, three-windows each except former
no 9 which has two windows. All windows flat-arched with
gauged brick heads except where noted. Round-arched entrance
with, generally, wooden doorcase of Doric columns and open
pediment, fanlight and panelled door. Storey band between
ground and first floors to nos 11-21; parapet; mansard roof
with two dormers. The exceptions : no 7 has a doorcase of
reeded pilasters supporting consoles and cornice wtih
overlight; no 11 has segmental-arched windows to the second
floor; nos 13 and 15 have paired doorcases and
segmental-arched windows to the second floor; no 17 has
segmental-arched windows to the second floor; no 21 has
storey-band also between first and second floors and second
floor evidently rebuilt; no 23 has lost its doorcase; nos 27
and 29 have moulded stucco architraves in place of doorcases
and no 27 has segmental-arched windows to the first and second
floors; nos 33 and 35 have doorcases consisting of pilasters
with guilloche patterns supporting a frieze with paterae,
reeding and rampant griffins and overlight, with decorative
glazing to no 33 only; moulded stucco band above first floor
to no 35. Cast-iron railings to area.
