Shop and dwelling. Late C18 with C15 origins. Stucco; C20
hipped composite tile roof; brick end stack. 3 storeys and
basement; 3-window range: 6/6 sashes; 3/3 sashes over;
dentilled eaves. Entrance to right: part-glazed double doors;
C20 shop-window; canted return to left, with triple-arched
entrance with central door; rusticated stucco. Left returned
side: similar sashes; four C20 shop-windows; entrance to left.
INTERIOR: late C19 staircase with stick balusters, to Bewell
Street entrance. Basement is part of a larger basement, part
of which is now under No.5 Widemarsh Street (qv): C15
pointed-arch vault; 2 moulded ashlar pointed-arch doorways;
wrought-iron grille; 3 ceiling bosses; 2 small recesses.
