GV II

Terrace of 6 houses. Early C19. Render with limestone
dressings and pantile double-pile roof. Double-depth plan.
Late Georgian style. Each of 4 storeys; 1-window range.
Rendered pilasters to a moulded coping; right-hand doorways
with brackets to pediments, semicircular arches with blocked
fanlights and 6-panel doors, and mostly 8/8-pane hornless
sashes, some 4/8-panes on the ground floor. No.2 is a 2-window
range, with a right-hand return with single and paired
semicircular-arched sashes. Built along a slope, the rear
elevation has right-hand doorways into the second floor with
moulded panels and canopies beneath tall semicircular-arched
stair windows with 21 panes and a single pane casement.
INTERIOR: No.4, dogleg stair to the rear with stick balusters
and column newels, with a half-landing across the stairlight,
6-panel doors and cornices. Most have been converted into
separate basement flats reached from Hampton Road, and houses
reached from Trelawney Road. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached
wrought-iron railings to the raised front pavement.
