Pair of small town houses. c.1860. Red brick in Flemish bond,
with sandstone dressings and slate roof. Shallow double-depth
plan, each house double-fronted. Two storeys, 3+4 windows, a
symmetrical range with a plain frieze and moulded gutter
cornice, a through-lobby doorway in the centre and the
additional window of No.12 above this, and each facade
otherwise symmetrical. The doorways have moulded architraves
with cornices on consoles, and panelled doors with overlights;
the lobby doorway has a plain surround. The windows have
raised sills and wedge lintels, those at No.11 sashed without
glazing bars, and No.12 with 12-pane sashes; heads of cellar
windows to the right at No.11 and on both sides at No.12.
Ridge chimneys. Rear: very shallow back yards. INTERIOR not
inspected. Matches Nos 13 and 14 (q.v.) and Nos 15 and 16
(q.v.) to right, and complements Nos 2 to 8 opposite (q.v.).
