886-1/12/207 (South side)
Nos.30, 30A AND 32
II
Row of 3 houses with former weavers' garret over, now 2 houses
with commercial premises above. c1830. Brick with Welsh slate
roof. 3-storeyed, 4-window range. 3 doorways towards centre,
the central doorway giving direct access to staircase serving
upper floor only. 2-pane sash windows each side of doorways.
Blocked doorway to left, with 16-pane sash window alongside.
Upper windows are sashes of 2, 12 and 16-panes, all with
flat-arched brick heads. Undivided garret floor lit by three
3-light long windows, formerly horizontally sliding sash
windows but now renewed in original openings. Axial stacks.
The building is of special interest as a rare example of a
type of weaving workshop and terraced housing in which the
weaving garret is not accessible via the houses themselves.
