Shown on O.S. map as Lower Stoneylow Farmhouse.
Farmhouse, now house. Probably C16 or C17 origins, extensively
re-modelled early to mid-C19. Red and purplish-brown brick (mainly
stretcher and garden wall bonds), plastered to rear; plain tile roofs
and ridge stack, re-built in engineering brick; integral lateral stack
to left-hand wing. "Hall"and 2 projecting gabled "cross-wings" to
front. 2 storeys with attics to wings, dentilled eaves cornice;
1:2:1 windows, late C19 cross-paned casements, all under massive plain
lintels; gabled porch in centre of "hall" range. The gables of the
projecting wings and porch all with coped stone verges on kneelers.
Interior: inglenook fireplace and in front room of left-hand wing a
moulded spine beam. Single-purlin roof.
