Former grammar school, now a hall and cafe. 1730 date on
internal plasterwork; remodelled late C19 and C20. Local
rubble with timber lintels; hipped Delabole slate roof and
similar roof behind valley; front roof surmounted by central
octagonal wooden turret with cupola and weather vane.
Rectangular plan with hall at the front. Single storey;
3-window range. Original tall 18-pane hornless sashes with
thick glazing bars: 2 windows on the left, one on the right,
with wide doorway with C20 panelled doors with sidelights,
between. INTERIOR: carved plaster aedicule to rear wall of
large front room and various blocked openings to side walls.
