House. Early C19. Front range of stucco and red brick rear
block, both with plain tile roofs, further rendered rear block
with gabled plain tile roof. Part 3 storey with cellar and
part 2 storey.
Front has parapet with projecting panel with recessed diamond
panel, moulded cornice and hipped plain tile roof. Second
floor has two 12 pane double-hung sash windows featured
keystones and string band at sill level. First floor has 4
pilasters with Greek incised decoration, the outer pairs
supporting segmental arches over recesses with tall 12 pane
double-hung sash window at floor level. Arches over have large
double keystones. Segmental wrought-iron balcony in front of
each window and double string band between storeys. Ground
floor has flat topped bay window with small paned double-hung
sashes. Segmental arched entrance with double keystone.
Adamesque fanlight over door of 6 raised and fielded panels
with side panels separated by thin pilaster strips. 5 stone
steps and wrought-iron handrails. Cellar vent in plinth with
pierced grille. Large rear wall stack in red brick. Flank to S
has canted bay window with hipped slate roof and small paned
double-hung sashes, door with semicircular brick arch and
tripartite double-hung sash with small panes on first floor.
Rear blocks are 2 storeys and of red brick and render.
Westernmost block has 16 pane double-hung sash in first floor
of W face and lean-to. S flank has mixture of small paned sash
windows and casements including an 8 pane and a 12 pane
double-hung sash on first floor.
INTERIOR of ground floor has long entrance corridor with
central moulded ornamental post at mid point of rear as part
of stair well. Stairs rise up against the N wall in 2 flights
with turned balusters between ground and first floors. Front
rooms on ground and first floors have Adamesque fireplaces.
Rear ground floor room has simple early C19 marble fire
surround. Simple ledged and braced door on second floor with
blacksmith-made hinges. Other doors are generally early C19
and of 6 panels.
