2 houses. Early Cl9. Brick with stone dressings, slate roof.
3 storeys with basement, 3 bays to each house. Basement
lintel band, 1st floor sill band and top frieze and cornice.
Windows have wedge lintels and are sashed. Entrances have
angle pilasters and entablatures. Iron railings to areas and
steps have spear heads. End 2 bays of No 38 break back, the
windows lack most glazing bars and the cornice has a
blocking course; some railings missing. No 40 has all
glazing bars, 1st and 2nd floor windows to central bay are
blind.
