Large House. Dated 1818 on rainwater head. Watershot coursed squared sandstone. 2-span stone slate roof. Double-pile plan, 3 bays. Two and a half storeys, in Jacobean style, presenting 3 gables to the front; single storey gabled porch at junction of 2nd and 3rd bays, with moulded round-headed doorway, stone gable coping with 3 ball finials; ground floor has tall mullioned windows with 5, 3 and 5 round-headed lights and hollow spandrels and hoodmoulds; 1st floor has recessed vertical rectangular windows with hoodmoulds, altered glazing imitating sashes with glazing bars; gables have little rose windows with hoodmoulds, stone coping with ball finials on kneelers, apexes and in junctions; rainwater heads between gables are lettered G H 1818. Right return wall has large external chimney stack, and openings on each floor matching those at the front; left return wall has smaller external chimney stack, and tall stairlight (altered). Interior not inspected.
