Circa 1840. A 3 storey block, the front of No 40A set at obtuse angle. Red
brick with flanking and dividing stucco pilaster strips - treated on dividing
pair as thin coupled pilasters. Frieze cornice and blocking coarse all stuccoed.
3 windows, in all, to upper floors : tripartite glazing bar sashes set in vertically
linked stucco surrounds carried through both floors. Altered ground floor.
Nos 40A to 45 (consec) form a group.
