SK 031399 (formerly listed
2.5.53 as Heath House Temple)

Folly. Temple constructed in the 1850s using parts of the then recently
demolished Heath House by Thomas Trubshaw of the 1820s. Sandstone
ashlar. Circular plan on stepped plinth. Eight Ionic columns support
a plain frieze, cornice and coursed stone dome. The temple is a rather
distant, and now obscured, prospect from Heath House (qv).
