Farmhouse and outbuilding. Probably late C17 or early C18 with later
alterations and additions. Stone rubble, the house roughcast, and slate roofs.
South-east elevation of 2 storeys and 4 bays, the 1st bay probably later.
Dripcourse over ground floor interrupted by window to 2nd bay. 1st bay has
ground floor recessed window and entrance behind straight-headed opening; 2nd
bay of ground floor has paired sashed windows with single glazing bars, and fire
window to left; 4th bay has sashed window with vertical glazing bars and opening
light. 1st floor has windows with pivoted upper parts, but 1st bay has
horizontally sliding sash with glazing bars. Entrance to 3rd bay has gabled
porch. Gable-end stack and cross-axial stack. Rear has 2 outshuts under
catslide roofs and 2 wooden chamfered-mullioned windows of 2 lights. Interior
has chamfered beams, heck partition to fireplace and plank and muntin partition
with moulded muntins and 2 doors of 2 panels; similar door to stair, which has
square newels, no balusters; winding stair to 1st bay. Adjoining outbuilding
has opening to north-east elevation; raised cruck truss.
