Includes: Nos.30A, 30B AND 30C WESTERN ROAD.
Terrace of 4 houses, now flats and shops. 1828-30. Architects
Amon Wilds and C.A.Busby. Stucco over brick, roofs concealed
behind parapet. Terrace abutting the east side of Brunswick
Square (qv) to south. Each unit 4 storeys over basement, 3
bays, bow-fronted, baluster parapet, moulded cornice, flat
strings, rusticated ground floor, sash windows, some with
glazing bars, to third, second and ground floors, first floor
windows French casements opening onto individual cast-iron
balconies of acanthus-leaf design; majority of windows with
blind boxes. All square-headed entrances without doorcases and
with fanlights: No.2 late C19 door with 2-lights and stained
glass; No.4 four-panelled door, No.6 as No.2; No.8 with
panelled reveals to 8-panel door. No.2 is missing the parapet.
Cast-iron railings returned from entrances along street
frontage.
