Pair of houses. C18. Timber-framed and plastered with ashlar
lining, slate roof, central red brick stack. L shaped plan of
original house and C20 extension to No.23. 2 storeys. E front
elevation: both houses have single ground and first windows,
double casements with glazing bars, 4x3 panes, No.23 retains
its C19 flush boarded front door and hinged ground floor
window shutter. No.25 has both features renewed in C20, front
door now of double `stable' form. Both doors set to outer
edge. Roof half hipped at N end, stack set forward in front
roof pitch. Rear, W extension: both houses have first floor
early C20 3-light casement windows with glazing bars, 3x3
panes. Ground floor of No.23 simple C20 3-light casement
window and C20 door with upper glazed panel. No.25 has flat
roofed single storey extension with N face indented with plain
door, single light casement and 2-light casment on S face.
INTERIOR: No.25 has slender ceiling joists visible on ground
floor and segment headed fireplace.
