Farmhouse, probably earlier C17 altered and enlarged in C18, now house.
Coursed sandstone with rendered facade painted white, slate roof with
brick chimney to left gable and one stone and brick chimney on the ridge.
L-shaped plan with a receding wing to the rear of the 1st bay which appears
to be the earliest part of the building. Front (probably C18), has a
sashed window with glazing bars on each floor of 1st bay, door to 2nd bay;
gabled 3rd bay breaks forward slightly and has one tall window on each
floor (both boarded at time of survey); return wall of this has 3 (boarded)
openings. Rear wing has in left (outer) wall a double-chamfered stone
mullion window with 4 square lights and a king mullion in the centre, and
a hoodmould; in right (inner) Wll a doorway with slightly arched lintel
and to right of this on each fldor a 6-light stone mullion window, the
lower with the centre light enlarged downwards (both windows lacking 3
mullions), and at right end 2-light double-chamfered stone mullion windows.
Remains of a dripcourse over door and ground floor windows. Interior:
remaining original features include beams with rounded moulding in front
range, broad chamfer in rear range; some internal timber-framing.
