Lodge. Mid-late C19 for Berners family. Yellow and red brick with ashlar band-
ing and dressings. Slate roof. T-shaped with porch to angle. 2 storeys.
structural polychromy, coloured brick and ashlar bands. Projecting gabled porch
with overhanging roof supported on timber brackets on corbels with bargeboards.
Board door in segment-arched opening. Road front: Canted bay containing narrow
plate glass sashes with ashlar lintels and impost blocks. To first floor a
single casement window in chamfered surround with ashlar lintel. Drive front:
Paired narrow plate glass sashes and casement to 1st floor with similar detail-
ing to front. Overhanging roof with bargeboards to gables supported by timber
braces on corbels. Cresting to ridge. Corniced stacks. Formed lodge to
Woolverstone Hall (qv).
