House, now house and tea room. Early/mid C18. Squared and coursed limestone;
gabled concrete tile roof, with Welsh slates to rear; brick end stacks. 2-unit
through-passage plan. 2 storeys and attic; symmetrical 3-window range. Flat
stone arch over late C19 half-glazed door. Bow window to left of door. Flat
stone arches over horned 8-pane sashes set in moulded early C19 wood
architraves. 3 hipped roof dormers have 2-light casements with glazing bars.
Rear: central stair-turret, partly timber-framed with C19 brick infill; range
with hipped roof and gabled early C18 wing to rear right. Interior: stone-flag
floors to central passage which has early C19 panelled doors set in moulded
architraves; more panelled doors to rear; stone steps to cellar. Cased beam in
room to left, and chamfered beams. Noted as having dog-leg stairs. First floor
flat not inspected.
