Two houses. Early C17; later C17 No.64 to left. Coursed limestone rubble; gabled
concrete tile roof; brick end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 2-window
range. Early C17 Carved timber lintels over 8-pane sashes in right bay, and over
2-light casements above doors to left; C20 bow window to left. Timber lintels
over two C20 doors. Early C19 eight-pane sash to rear. Gabled roof dormer.
3-storey elevation to rear. Interior of No.62: stone steps to basement, which
has stop-chamfered beam and flat stone arch over fireplace; ground floor has
moulded beam; fine carved wood bressumer over open fireplace; stop-chamfered
joists; mid C18 corner cupboard and reset panelling. First floor has
stop-chamfered beam and mid C18 fireplace. No. 64 has stop-chamfered beams and
winder staircase. Part of group of houses used as glove factory and workers'
accommodation in the 1880s.
