Pair of attached houses, part of a terrace. Early C19.
Limestone ashlar with party wall stacks and a pantile hipped
roof and Pennant stone garden wall. Double-depth plan. Late
Georgian style.
Each of 3 storeys; 2-window range. Rusticated ground floor to
a moulded band, first-floor sill band, cornice and parapet.
No.133 has a right-hand semicircular-arched doorway with
plate-glass fanlight and 6-panel door, with a mid C19
tripartite ground-floor window with a central French window;
No.131 has the entrance in the right return,
semicircular-arched with a Gibbs surround, pilaster jambs and
a fluted transom, a good fanlight, with a round-arched stair
light above with a 9/9-pane sash.
INTERIOR: the entrance hall with a panelled plaster ceiling,
leading to a curved, open-well stair with wreathed handrails;
plaster cornices in the front rooms with soffits of trailing
vines, panelled shutters and fireplaces.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached rubble garden wall with ashlar
piers.
