Two chest tombs to W of Church of St
Bartholomew
GV II
Pair of chest tombs. First, approx 7m from the north-west
corner. Early C19. Hipped top; slate panels with worn
inscriptions set into the long sides; cavetto moulding to the
edge and plinth; the ends are complex projecting pilasters,
moulded on three sides. The date 1826 can be read. Second,
approx 20m to west of west front. Late C17. Hipped top with
cyma-moulded edge; one raised-and-fielded panel to each side
and panelled pilasters to the long sides. The long panels have
head stops to the centres of the upper moulding.
