Public House. Late C18. Coursed limestone rubble with Ham Hill
stone dressings, plinth and stepped stone copings; slate roof
with brick stacks to gable ends. 3-unit plan with C19 rear
wing to the left. 2 storeys; symmetrical 5-window range. All
windows are 6/6-pane C19 sashes in raised stone surrounds; the
central doorway has a raised elliptical arch with imposts and
keystone, and a plain elliptical overlight above double doors.
To the left of the door is a 2-light, stone-mullioned opening
to a half-basement. INTERIOR: much altered, a small open
fireplace with a stone lintel is to the left gable end.
Described as "newly erected" in 1782.
